Customizing Scheduling Links

How to personalize the URL slug for your scheduling pages and meeting types

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Your scheduling page URL is the link your clients will use to see your available times and schedule meetings with you. There are several layers to the URL itself, which reflect how scheduling pages and meeting types are related.

You can think of a scheduling page as a folder which contains your meeting types, or bookable services. This hierarchy is represented in the URL as shown in the template below:

https://appt.link/[SCHEDULING-PAGE-NAME]/[MEETING-TYPE-NAME]

All Appointlet scheduling URLs begin with "https://appt.link/" which is not customizable. By default, the parts of the URL which reflect your scheduling page and meeting type names (called URL "slugs") will automatically use the names you've given them in your settings. However, these slugs are customizable.

Customizing a Scheduling Page URL Slug

Open the Pages tab of your dashboard to see your list of scheduling pages. These are either Team Pages or Individual Pages, listed on the left side of the screen. Each one has a unique URL. Select the page you want to edit and click the "Settings" option at the top of the page.

Click the "Edit" button next to the Page URL to customize the slug.

Reminder: You don't need to add "https://appt.link" to the slug because Appointlet will place this at the beginning of the URL automatically.

Be sure to use dashes between each word if you're setting up a URL that uses more than one word. Keep in mind every Appointlet user's scheduling page URL must be unique, so if you choose a name that's already in use you'll receive an error and will need to use something different.

Customizing a Meeting Type URL Slug

On the Pages tab, the full meeting type URL is visible on the front of each meeting type card. In the example below, "custom-scheduling-page-slug" is included on every meeting type because they all belong to that scheduling page. This is followed by a forward-slash, then by the name of the meeting type.

Click on a meeting type to open the editor. The URL is visible at the top of the General tab. Click the edit icon to customize the meeting type slug.

Just like the scheduling page URL slug, use dashes between words and only enter information that reflects the meeting type name.

Updating a URL You've Shared

If you've already shared a scheduling link with attendees via email, a website, social media, etc, making any changes in Appointlet will break the link you've shared. The changes you make in your scheduling page and meeting type settings will not automatically update the links you've shared, so you'll need to manually replace them with the new URL.
