Time Zone Settings for your Availability Schedule

Choose the time zone that your availability should reflect

Updated over 7 months ago

The time zone associated with a meeting type will determine how the scheduled availability appears. We pull the default time zone for your meetings from the time zone in your user settings, shown here:

This means any time slots you configure will be rooted in your chosen member time zone.

Showing Times in the Attendee's Local Time Zone

By default, Appointlet will convert the time slots on your live scheduling page according to the attendee's time zone. For instance, a 9:00AM time slot configured by an Appointlet member located in the America/Los Angeles time zone will be converted to 12:00PM for someone in the America/New York time zone.

No action is required to use this automatic detection setting. You can confirm this in the Advanced tab of your meeting type editor.

Locking All Meetings to Your Time Zone

Appointlet also allows for using a single time zone for all meetings without converting based on the attendee's physical location.

This is especially useful for in-person meetings that need to reflect the local time zone of the meeting location, or if you need to plan ahead to offer meetings in a different location while traveling.

To lock a meeting type's time zone, open the Advanced tab and click Specify Time Zone.

Select your desired time zone from the dropdown menu and save your changes to use this time zone for all meetings booked through the current meeting type.

When attendees visit your scheduling page all time slots will display the local time according to the time zone you've defined in the Advanced settings regardless of their physical location.
