Save time by editing your meetings in your calendar account without logging into Appointlet

Updated over 5 months ago

Keeping multiple platforms in sync can be a challenge. With Appointlet's Sync Calendar Changes feature, effortlessly mirror changes made in your Office 365 or Google calendar right within Appointlet.

Prerequisites

  • Ensure you have an active Appointlet account.

  • An Office 365 or Google calendar account is required.

  • For syncing to work, connect either the Office 365 or Google calendar to Appointlet. Integration guides available for Office 365 and Google.

How It Works & Benefits

  1. Automatic Meeting Updates: The feature actively tracks changes in your connected calendar and updates Appointlet meetings accordingly. This means:

    • Deleting a calendar event in your connected calendar will cancel the meeting in Appointlet.

    • Moving a calendar event in your connected calendar will reschedule the meeting in Appointlet.

  2. Automatic Notifications: Both hosts and attendees are kept in the loop with email notifications for every change, ensuring clear communication.

Setup & Testing

1. Access the Calendars menu: From your Appointlet dashboard, head to the Availability tab on the left navigation bar and select Calendars.

2. Activate the Feature: Locate the Sync Calendar Changes option at the bottom of the Calendars menu. Turn it on by clicking the toggle switch so that it is blue.

You can also access each member's calendar integration settings via the Calendar tab in the Availability menu.

3. Schedule a Test Meeting: To ensure synchronization works as intended, click the View Live button located at the top of the Pages tab. Schedule a test meeting, and confirm that it has been added to your Meetings tab.

4. Modify the Calendar Event: Log into your linked calendar. Here, you have the flexibility to delete the event, adjust its start time, or transfer it to a different date.

5. Assess the Modifications: Make your way back to the Meetings tab in Appointlet. Any tweaks made in your calendar will be mirrored here.

Tip: Don't see your changes instantly? Give your browser a quick refresh.

Notifications Breakdown

  • Deletion of an Event: This action sends a cancellation email to both the attendee and the host, subsequently removing the meeting in Appointlet.

  • Rescheduling an Event: Adjusting either the date or time dispatches a 'rescheduled meeting' email notification to both the attendee and host.
