Configuring your Calendar Integration

Configure your settings to determine how you'd like your calendars to behave

Updated over a week ago

In order to configure your calendar settings, you'll need to begin by connecting an Office 365/Outlook or Google Calendar account.

Once you've done so, it's time to configure how you want the integration to behave. To do this, open the Calendar Sync menu and navigate below the Integrations area to the Behavior section.

Meetings Calendar

This determines which calendar Appointlet will add events to when someone schedules with you. Please note only one meetings calendar can be selected at a time.

Availability Calendars

Appointlet uses these calendars to see when you're busy. You can select multiple calendars, and each one will be reviewed to ensure you don't have overlapping meetings. This means if there's an event scheduled in any of your selected calendars, Appointlet will automatically block out that time, preventing any new meetings from being scheduled concurrently.

Sync Calendar Changes

While this feature is enabled, certain adjustments you make to a calendar event will have an effect to its corresponding Appointlet meeting. For example:

  • Changing the time of a calendar event will reschedule its meeting in Appointlet.

  • Deleting the event will cancel its meeting in Appointlet.

Email Invitations

Enabling this feature will activate your calendar's built-in invitation feature. What this means is after scheduling with you, your attendees will automatically receive an email like this, similar to as if you had added them to a calendar event yourself:

If this feature is disabled, your attendees will receive an .ics file attached to the email confirmation that comes from Appointlet. They can use this to add the event to their calendar manually.
