How to Test your Scheduling Page

Using the preview tools to view your live page

Updated over 6 months ago

Before you begin booking meetings, it's important to make sure your scheduling page is accurate and working properly. We've created a test feature that allows you to try out your scheduling page before bringing actual clients into the picture.

Viewing Your Live Scheduling Page

To test your scheduling flow, click the View Live button at the top of the Pages tab in your account dashboard. Testing the live scheduling page via the View Live button will initiate the same exact scheduling flow your clients will see when they visit your scheduling link. Both team and individual pages may be tested using this tool.

Understanding the Scheduling Flow

It's important to understand the scheduling flow to ensure each step of the process is working as intended.

Choose a meeting type - All published meeting types configured within a scheduling page will be listed so clients can choose the service they want to book.

(Optional) Choose a meeting host - If you've added more than one team member to the Staff Members list of a meeting type in a team page and have selected the "User Chooses" host assignment option, clients will be prompted to choose who they want to schedule with.

Select a time slot - The time slots configured for this meeting type are listed according to your current availability and scheduling rules. Click here to learn more about configuring your availability schedule.

Fill out the intake form - The intake form is where you'll collect important information from clients before they complete the booking process. First name, last name, and email address are required by default. Free users may add up to 3 custom intake form fields while premium subscribers may add as many as needed.

Confirm or request a meeting - At the bottom of the intake form, clients must click the "submit" button to complete the scheduling process. All meetings will be confirmed automatically unless Manual Approval is enabled (requires a premium subscription).

Confirmation page - The meeting has been confirmed and Appointlet provides a summary of the meeting details.

Reviewing a Confirmed Meeting

Once a client books a time with you, a new meeting will appear in the Meetings dashboard. In this window, you can view the meeting time and date, members and attendees. Additionally, by clicking the meeting itself you can view the attendee's email, time zone, the meeting location, and any information they entered on your intake form.

Group meetings will include the total number of confirmed attendees and the maximum capacity per your meeting type settings. If you need to increase or decrease the capacity of a confirmed group meeting, click here to learn about the Attendee Capacity editor.
